None, but a copy of Robert Mulholland's Invitation to a Journey is a helpful resource
In this episode, we will be exploring the topics of Confidence, Control, and Content!
Genuine faith in God is the starting point to our spiritual growth journey. When we speak of genuine faith we refer to a trust and confidence in the absolute and unchanging character of God. This trust goes beyond the circumstantial, not having faith because the circumstances of your life are “good” but understanding that even when things do not seem to be good, God is still faithful and in control.
In this episode we will be exploring the topics of Religion, Relationship, and Right Thinking!
The process of being formed into the image of Christ for the sake of others is a work of God in the life of a believer. We discussed last week that this process only takes place through surrender to God, not by means of our own efforts. This journey of spiritual formation also requires proximity to God through a personal and intimate relationship. There are many different religions in the world, some requiring much of their followers, some requiring little to nothing at all. Christianity is different to anything else out there in that it is an invitation to relationship with our creator.
In this episode we will be exploring the topics of Preferred Focus, Path, and Practices!
One of the most crucial aspects of spiritual formation is how our God-given personalities shape the way we relate to God, others, and the world. Our personalities are not mistakes—they are gifts, deeply woven into our being by the Creator. But like all things in our lives, they can either be surrendered to God for transformation, or they can become obstacles to His work in us.
In this episode we will be exploring the topics of Yes Lord!, Your Purpose, and Yielding!
The greatest wholeness a human can ever experience is to be formed in the image of Christ. By yielding to the Holy Spirit, areas of our unlikeness to Christ are transformed into His likeness. Spiritual formation is not merely about personal improvement; it is the deep, interior transformation that reflects the nature of Jesus.
In this episode we will be exploring the topics of Dilemma, Devotion, and Discipleship!
Church is not a building or a Sunday service—it's the living Body of Christ, made up of believers who are being formed together into the likeness of Jesus. As spiritual formation takes root in our lives, it naturally expresses itself in community. God did not design our formation to happen in isolation. Instead, He placed us within the Church so that we might grow together in truth and love.
Spiritual formation, when rooted in Christ and nurtured through community, naturally overflows into mission. The goal of our transformation is not only personal wholeness but a life poured out in love. As we are formed into Christ’s image, we begin to live not just for ourselves, but for the sake of others.
This final week invites us to consider how our formation spills outward. Who are we becoming for the sake of our neighbor, our family, our church, and our world? How do we express Christ’s love in tangible, Spirit-led action? In this final movement of our journey, we turn our attention to others.
